Just a girl who loves flowers

Hey, I’m Christina, the lead florist and founder behind Grumpy Flowers.

I am obsessed with making spaces beautiful. In a previous life I worked in events, running high-stakes productions and looking after VIPs. It was all training for the biggest day of all. YOUR wedding! It means I can read a room and keep the logistics running smoothly, so you don’t have to stress.

I see wedding florals as one part of your whole vision. I want to know the dress colours, the suits, the napkins, your invites and menus… it all ties together, so the florals lift both the ceremony and the reception.

There is no baby’s breath, dyed flowers, or faux florals here. If you want to feel like you are wandering through an enchanted, untamed garden, you’ve found your gal (it’s me!)

Tell me about your dream!

5am starts

The market morning

During your wedding prep, I’m all in on making your flowers. Admin is OFF and my flower mode is ON!

While Sydney is still asleep, I head to the flower markets at 5am. I’ve worked at the markets, so I know the growers, and that gets me the very best flowers. I also leave some room to hand-select anything unique, whether for texture or colour.

By the time the sun is up, my trusty blue van is packed and ready to head back to our studio in the Hawkesbury where the rest of the day unfolds.

I’ve been through wedding planning before, so I get how overwhelming and exciting it can be. Think of me as your creative director. I’ll guide you through the whole design.

Kind words from our couples

Nakisah & Nikos

Christina is incredible and I'm so glad I did my wedding flowers with her 🌹 I recently had a small wedding party to celebrate an elopement and the bouquet she created for me was a masterpiece! She made my Pinterest dreams a reality with a really beautiful red arrangement, it was luxurious and each flower and detail was so thoughtfully selected. I've had regular bouquets from Grumpy Flowers in the past and they've always been stunning - so I just knew I was making the right choice by having hers at the special event!

Sheryn & Mitch · Lilburndale

Christina is truly the best in the business and delivered absolutely breathtaking flowers for our wedding. To say I changed my mind several times would be an understatement, yet nothing ever fazed her. From the beginning, she was supportive, flexible, and encouraging, making the whole process feel calm and enjoyable. I'm still amazed at how she managed to bring a vision I could barely verbalise to life, and in a way that exceeded anything I had imagined. Every detail was so thoughtfully executed. Her communication was fantastic throughout, and she offered helpful suggestions and options without ever feeling overwhelming. We feel incredibly grateful to have had Christina as part of our wedding.

Lauren & Ed · St Josephs Guesthouse

The MOST incredible florist - highly recommended for any wedding or special event. We were completely blown away by the creativity and skill. Every single bouquet, button hole and arrangement was an actual work of art. Christina was also a delight to work with and she didn't bat an eyelid when we had to move an entire wedding (and all flowers) inside at the last minute. She made it work so easily and it was so beautiful. I've never seen anything like what she created, so was very honoured to have them at our wedding.

  • I'm so happy I reached out to Grumpy Flowers for our wedding! Christina was a delight to work with, and gave me total faith that I could trust her vision to put together the perfect flowers for the day - and that's exactly what we got! Mine and my bridesmaid's bouquets were the perfect balance of modern elegance and flair and the table scape flowers complimented the space so beautifully. Our guests also raved about the flower wrap station and loved being able to take some home at the end of the night. Definitely recommend speaking to Christina if you are planning your big day!!

  • Christina from Grumpy Flowers is an incredibly talented florist whom we had the pleasure of working with for our wedding. She has a calming presence and is the sweetest person - as someone who's indecisive, she was with me at every step of the way. On the day she did a wonderful job with our florals from bridal bouquets, button holes and corsages to various arrangements, which were all high quality and fresh. Christina's attention to detail, sweet nature and extensive knowledge in the industry goes beyond florals - she is a vendor you want on your day.

Meet Christina

Justagirlwholovesflowers

5am starts

Themarketmorning

Christina is incredible and I'm so glad I did my wedding flowers with her 🌹 I recently had a small wedding party to celebrate an elopement and the bouquet she created for me was a masterpiece!

Meet Christina

The market morning

5am starts

My design ethos & process

Kind words from our couples

Christina is incredible and I'm so glad I did my wedding flowers with her 🌹 I recently had a small wedding party to celebrate an elopement and the bouquet she created for me was a masterpiece! She made my Pinterest dreams a reality with a really beautiful red arrangement, it was luxurious and each flower and detail was so thoughtfully selected. I've had regular bouquets from Grumpy Flowers in the past and they've always been stunning - so I just knew I was making the right choice by having hers at the special event!

Nakisah & Nikos
